Press Release Body = September 2nd, Virginia-Press-Release, West Sussex. Venture Structured Finance announces four new appointments to consolidate and develop business
Venture Structured Finance (VSF), a division of independent financier Venture Finance, is pleased to announce four new management appointments. Alun Thomas joins the VSF Business Development team as a Regional Manager based in Cardiff. Christopher Hart joins as Regional Manager based in London and with a focus on cross border deals, and Kevin Haupert and Michael McDowall join as Portfolio Managers and are both based in Haywards Heath.
VSF was launched in 2002 to complement Venture's factoring and invoice discounting services. Working primarily in the manufacturing and distribution sectors, VSF provides funding for management buy-outs and buy-ins, mergers and acquisitions, insolvency turnaround and re-financing. These appointments will enable VSF to extend operations both nationally and internationally, while strengthening existing client relationships.
Alun Thomas will be responsible for developing new business in the South West and Wales. His last position was within the commercial finance department of Lloyds TSB, and he has over 20 years experience in the commercial and invoice finance industry.
Commenting on his decision to join VSF, Alun said: "Providing the right funding package to a company can often be a challenge. I am delighted to be the first person based in the South West who can offer full asset based lending (ABL) expertise to the regional business community."
Christopher Hart has a background in international corporate banking. He joins Venture from GMAC and previously worked for Barclays. Christopher will be working with the Business Development Team to source, facilitate and structure international ABL deals. He has over 18 years experience in the finance industry and has worked in a variety of international sales, marketing and relationship roles.
Christopher chose to join Venture to exploit opportunities in the area of cross-border ABL deals. As Christopher explains: " VSF is keen to do more cross border work in Europe. I believe demand for such deals is high, and my experience and qualifications make this an extremely exciting opportunity for me."
As a national VSF Portfolio Manager, Kevin Haupert will manage a number of clients. He has over 19 years experience in the financial industry, with a speciality in factoring, invoice discounting and asset based lending. Kevin joins Venture from Enterprise Finance Europe, part of the Bank of Ireland.
Commenting on his decision to join VSF Kevin said: " As a previous competitor, I knew Venture could offer one of the most comprehensive products sets in the market. VSF completes some challenging and inventive deals, and I wanted to be part of a team whose knowledge and ability I respect."
Joining Kevin in managing client portfolios will be Michael McDowall, who previously worked as a European Portfolio Manager for US Keybank. Michael had worked in an ABL role earlier in his career and wanted to return to the industry.
Michael explains his decision to join VSF: "I believe that regular contact with clients is essential to helping them achieve their goals. Venture is committed to all its clients and has an excellent reputation in the market, so I jumped at the chance to join the company."
